Why charge for the sample?

(1). SmCo magnet is expensive, and it’s the custom-made product. haven’ t the stock samples on hand , it’s different with the standard parts. In general, the sample need for series process of mechanical, and the process is complex, maybe some samples need for more than dozens of process, and take about one week time. It’s the same process for the sample production and volume production, from the received order, review, planning, choice the appropriate roughcast to the dozens of process of mechanical. For every process we require the inspection to semi-finished products, fill in the flow card and the quality record. Then the product need for cleaning and finished product inspection, then do the test report. In final the product be packaged and delivered. So you could know the production cost of the several samples according to it. 

(2). It’s need more time for adjusting the instrument and preparing for the tooling for the  production process of samples, waste larger of resources, at the same time affect the normal production badly. If the sample have the requirement of plating and chamfering, and the cost will larger, in general ,the chamfering need about dozens of hours, and the same time of plating. In normal, the bucket of plating process could encase about several Kg product, for the sample only encase several ones, you could consider of the cost about it.

 (3). As the samples is only few of volume, so need to invest more than 200% of materials sometimes ; the technic for sample and volume is also different, in general,  the roughcast of volume will be pressed according to the dimension of magnet, but the sample need to use the inappropriate ones, waste large of materials, and have more process with the normal one. It be know that the SmCo materials is expensive, the few of difference for the scrap rate will lead to the huge distinction for the price, moreover the difference for the scrap rate is multiplied. So the price of sample could compare with the volume completely. 

(4). It have serious impact for our normal production as the more kind of samples in past, have the badly affect for our human and materials resources. If the company have about six or seven hundreds of kind of samples every month, and produce about 30 kinds of samples every day, every kind of them have dozens of process, it will need how many of worker, inspector, administrator for producing and operation, and will take them so much of time., at the same time some machines and instruments couldn’t do the normal work.

(5). After a preliminary calculation, it will be need about RMB 500 for one kind of sample, which volume price is only several chiao. So the charge for the samples is only a little part of cost, far short of our production costs. Only charge few of fees, because we consider of the long-term cooperation, and hope to get the volume order from the customer, also reminding our client that it must be deliberate when you order the samples.We hope that you could understand our detailed reason for the charge, support us
